Open the track, which will allow you to launch rockets to the International space station from the Baikonur East in the Amur region. It is reported RIA Novosti with reference to the document company “Alfa Insurance”

“Roskosmos”, the Agency confirmed the discovery of the route to an orbit inclined 51 degrees to the equator. It is planned that the separated parts of missiles will fall in the Khabarovsk Krai and the sea of Okhotsk.

Work on the route was carried out in the framework of the Federal space program. Furthermore, the use of this route is allowed only automatic spacecraft on the rocket “Soyuz-2.1 a” or “1B”.

Up to this point in the Russian launches to the ISS was conducted only from Baikonur cosmodrome, located in Kazakhstan. To make full use of the Vostochny space centre needed to upgrade its technical and launch complexes.

On 23 January it was reported that on the East was built only a quarter of the planned facilities. Last year at the launch complex of the cosmodrome was discovered critical defects.

The first launch from the East, Russia’s first civilian spaceport, was held in April 2016 at the second attempt in the presence of President Vladimir Putin. The construction of the facility began in 2012, was accompanied by corruption scandals and strikes by workers due to wage delays. By may 2016 on the construction of buildings there has been spent more than 84 billion rubles.
