The Deputy head of the Department of international legal cooperation of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine (GPU), Konstantin Kulik stated that the building Department has disappeared the materials of the case against associates of the President of Petro Poroshenko. About it reports the UNIAN.
“The night brought materials from the offices. I don’t understand where some of the materials. Canceled a suspicion Lojkine, Gontareva, Stetsenko and Filatov,” — said Kulik told reporters. In addition, he said that preparing for his arrest and the search of the apartment.
Press Secretary of the head of the Supervisory Department denied this information. “The GPU has not registered criminal proceedings against the Prosecutor Konstantin Kulik. Emphasize that the Prosecutor Kulik was not called in for questioning, not planned searches of his home, and accordingly, there can be no question of his arrest,” she said.
On 28 March, the Prosecutor General Yuri Lutsenko said that the Department of international legal cooperation made the investigation against Ukrainian businessman Sergey Kurchenko. Kurchenko is called member of the “family” of ex-President Viktor Yanukovych and accused of especially dangerous crimes against the Ukrainian state.
The defendants in the investigation were 98 people, including senior officials. 12 of them are current senior officials of ministries and departments, as well as the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), six heads of regional state administrations, 14 person management team of public companies. Among them was the former head of the presidential administration of Ukraine (APU) Boris Lozhkin, a former head of the NBU Valeria Gontareva, the former Minister of ecology Nikolay Zlochevsky, acting Deputy head of the presidential administration Oleksiy Filatov and other top officials.
Shortly after the announcement of Lutsenko’s press Secretary Sargan and the representative of the Ministry Andrei Lysenko said that the charges against the aforementioned persons nominated with violations of the law, and therefore criminal proceedings against them are not formally legal.
After that, Kulik told reporters that his actions remained within procedural code, while senior officials were not even summoned to the Prosecutor’s office. “Alas, in our country there are the “untouchable” caste,” said he.
