The Minister of defence of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak believes that Russia will try by force to prevent the holding of presidential elections in the country. He said this in an interview, “Direct”, writes the Agency “Interfax-Ukraine”.
“There is no doubt that the occupying forces, the terrorist group of the Russian Federation will do everything to prevent us to hold fair and transparent elections”, — said the head of the defense Ministry.
He stressed that the Ukrainian military prepared for such a scenario, as expected, that before the elections the situation will be more complicated. Poltorak associated with the aggravation of the situation on the contact line in the Donbass, where on March 29, according to the press center of Operations of the United forces (formerly the anti-terrorist operation), the result of massive shelling killed one soldier and injured four.
