The headquarters of the presidential candidate of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky will fight for the first round election results if the calculations of the CEC will be radically different from the results of exit polls. This was announced by the representative of the headquarters, political consultant Dmitry Razumkov, reports “Interfax”.
“[In this case] we understand that the results are rigged. And then we’ll in the framework of existing legislation to defend the choice of the Ukrainian people”, — he said and stressed that the results of the survey were expected and worthy.
According to the first results of “National exit poll”, published immediately after the polls closed, Zelensky gaining 30.4% of the vote, incumbent President Petro Poroshenko receives 17.8 percent, former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko — 14.2 percent. The same data show the rest of the polls conducted by TV channels “112 Ukraine”, NewsOne and “1+1”.
The CEC has already begun to count the votes. As RIA Novosti reported, according to 20:00 in 103 districts of the 199 turnout in the presidential elections in Ukraine amounted to 63,92%.
To win in the first round, had to score at least 50 percent of votes plus one vote. The second round, if necessary, will be held on April 21, the official results of the presidential elections in Ukraine will be announced before may 1.
