The state border service of Ukraine said that Russian border guards do not let the Crimea going to the polls of Ukrainian citizens. This told the press-Secretary of Department Oleg Slobodyan, reported on the website of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Ukraine.
“We received information that the border guards of the country-occupier (Ukraine considers Crimea as its territory, occupied by Russia — approx. “Of the tape.ru”) stop the Ukrainians who travel to the mainland, ask them the purpose of the trip”, — he explained.
According Slobodyan, it is unknown how the Russian border guards do with the stated desire to vote in the elections of the President of Ukraine. However, “with high probability we can assume that they are not allowed to vote,” said the representative of state frontier service.
As the radio station “Moscow speaking” from the Crimea, on the border there are no queues on exit from the territory of the Peninsula, the number of outgoing does not exceed usual indicators. Residents of the Crimea, traveling to Ukraine, said it expects to resolve its case on Monday, April 1, or are going to visit relatives.
