Fleeing with children from Sweden, the Russians asked for asylum in Poland

Russian Denis Lisov, shipped from Sweden their three children who lived in foster care, asked for asylum in Poland. The decision of the court, he told reporters, RIA Novosti.

“Yesterday [April 2] was filed a request for refugee status, as it needs protection from the Swedish authorities,” said the family’s lawyer Babken Kasajian.

According to him, there are three options. The judge may leave the daughters with the father during the pendency of the request, transfer to a foster family in Poland or to give them to representatives of Sweden, who came after them. “We hope that the court will make a decision based on the interests of children”, — said the lawyer.

Lisov said that he had spent the night after the detention of children in the premises for illegal migrants. According to him, the conditions were heavy, and he could not properly feed daughters.

On 2 April the Polish border guards detained at the border a Russian citizen with three daughters four, six and 12 years. Two of them were born in the Swedish city of Gothenburg, however, have Russian citizenship. They lived in Sweden in a foster family of immigrants from Lebanon. In it they found themselves after their mother went to the hospital.

Denis Lisov received in the Scandinavian countries the certificate of return to Khabarovsk through Poland. However, the Swedish authorities demanded the return of children. The family’s lawyer claims that they did not feel safe with their new parents-Muslims.
