Russian President Vladimir Putin asked not to delay the commissioning of the receiving terminal to the gas pipeline “Turkish stream”, to continue to join, many countries in southern Europe, earned in the period up to the end of 2019. The head of state’s words leads RIA Novosti.
“We need to complete work on the construction of a receiving terminal on the black sea coast of Turkey to the “Turkish stream” as agreed, was put into operation before the end of the current year”, — said the President during the meeting of Turkish-Russian cooperation Council, the highest level in Moscow, which is being held these days along with a visit by Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
In turn, the President of Turkey has promised that Ankara will introduce enhanced incentives for Russian businessmen wishing to invest in the Turkish economy. “Turkey and Russia are in search of new opportunities to achieve the level of turnover 100 billion dollars,” Erdogan was quoted by TASS.
The politician said that Ankara does not consider the Russian companies as foreign or Russian. “We consider them as their own. Russian businessmen who want to invest in Turkey, we will provide all possible relief measures,” Erdogan promised.
The project of gas pipeline “Turkish stream”, according to the plans of “Gazprom” must be launched before the end of 2019. The pipeline will not only transport artery of gas to Turkey and will connect Russia and southern Europe, where many countries have hope for Russian gas. The pipeline consists of two lines with capacity of 15.75 billion cubic meters of gas a year each.
