Russian coach Oleg Znarok will head the Moscow “Spartak”. Reports about it “CHempionata”.
General Manager capital club Alexey Zhamnov said that negotiations with the 56-year-old specialist is nearing completion. “With fair amount of probability Znarok will head the team. The contract will be signed under the scheme “1+1″,” — said the functionary.
Znarok left the post of chief coach of the national team of Russia on the eve of the 2018 world Cup in Denmark. Specialist continued to work as a national team Advisor.
Znarok led the national team of Russia in 2014. Under his leadership, the Russian hockey players won the world Cup in 2014 and won the gold medal at the Games in Pyeongchang in 2018.
The specialist also known for his work in club hockey. Znarok was coach of the St. Petersburg SKA and Moscow “Dynamo” and three times winner of the Gagarin Cup.
