The head of the non-canonical Church, Metropolitan Epiphanius (Sergei Dumenko) named Stepan Bandera a “genius of the Ukrainian national and nazioarteko of the spirit.” The corresponding statement he made during a visit to Lviv national agrarian University, said on the organization’s website.
The leader of Ukrainian schismatics visited the high school on April 11. He stressed that the University has graduated many Ukrainians, expressing love for the land and people “not in word but in deed”, including Stepan Bandera.
According to the Metropolitan, the name “banderovets” sounds good. “For some it is dirty, but for us it is an honor,” he said, adding that Ukrainians should appreciate the legacy of heroes and continue their business.
