Eight-time Olympic champion OLE Einar Bjoerndalen shared his opinion about the behavior of Russian Alexander Loginov after a two-year suspension for doping. The Norwegian gave an interview to the YouTube channel of the Commandos.
45-year-old Bjoerndalen said that the details of the anti-doping rule violations should be made public. He gave the example of the Norwegian biathlete Martin Sundby, who was using doping due to the use of the drug from asthma. According to the veteran, in such cases it is important to convey to the public the reasons for the misconduct. “It’s important for people to know how the doping was in the body Loginova. Worst of all, he does not say, does not tell what happened actually. I’m sure Loginov too hard, but he needs to start talking, otherwise it will not stop,” said Bjoerndalen.
From November 2014 to November 2016 was Loginov had been disqualified for violating anti-doping rules. The Russians used the banned drug erythropoietin. After the removal of part of the biathlon has opposed the return of Loginov in the sport.
