Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a bill introducing a ban on the placement of hotels and hostels in residential buildings. The document is published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
As previously noted at the meeting of the conciliation Commission, which consisted of five members and five deputies of the state Duma, the law will come into force on 1 October 2019.
The authors of the document were made by more than 30 members headed by the Chairman of the Duma Committee on housing policy Galina Khovanskaya. They proposed to amend the Housing code. They specify in particular that the premises in an apartment house cannot be used for hotel services or services for temporary accommodation of strangers.
In the explanatory material to the draft law the deputies noted that, in General, homeowners are entitled to dispose of the real property at their discretion, but only if their actions do not violate the interests of others. the Location of hostels in residential buildings, according to the authors of the legislative initiative, this request does not respond in multi-apartment buildings of the mini-hotel are combined with the usual apartments.
