The Syrian army has ambushed militants in the southern part of the province of Aleppo. It is reported by Al Masdar News.

According to military sources, members of one of the associations of Islamist groups launched an attack near the town of al-Warid. It is noted that they managed to catch the soldiers by surprise. As a result of collision with the government forces there are victims, but how many of them are not reported.

The source also said that after the ambush the jihadists, the Syrian military is actively shelled the area with rockets of a class “earth-earth”.

The attack was followed by fighting between army forces and militants on the Western outskirts of the city of Aleppo. The collision occurred on April 14.

First group “Hayat Tahrir al-sham” (HTS created on the basis of the banned in Russia “Dzhabhat EN-Nusra”) detonated improvised explosives in one area, and then released at the settlement a large number of shells and missiles. It was reported that as a result many buildings were damaged, over 20 people were injured. The Syrian army said the attack on the positions of militants.
