In “Gazprom” reported about the laying on the bottom of the Baltic sea 1025 km of the pipeline “Nord stream-2”, RIA Novosti reported.
It is noted that this represents about 42 percent of the total length of the pipeline by two threads. The company also indicated that the installation of the marine pipeline is conducted strictly in accordance with the schedule.
April 11, the European Commission said that in the future Russia will be forced to return to the table of negotiations about gas transit through Ukraine due to the fact that the gas pipeline “Nord stream-2” will not be ready for several years.
“Nord stream-2” are laid from Russia to Germany under the Baltic sea. The total capacity of the pipeline is 55 billion cubic meters of gas per year. To complete construction and to launch the project is planned in 2019. This has been confirmed by the head of “Gazprom” Alexey Miller.
In addition, the Minister of energy Alexander Novak has previously stated that the attempts of Denmark to delay the approval of the route of the “Nord stream-2” will not affect the stated start date of the project.
