More than 360 thousands of Ukrainians have Russian citizenship in 2014. This was stated by the head of the main Directorate of the interior Ministry for migration Valentina Kazakova, reports “Kommersant”.
She stressed that “emergency mass Exodus” of immigrants from Ukraine was recorded in late 2014 — early 2015. “Mainly due to the military operations was granted temporary asylum by the citizens from the South-East of Ukraine”, — said Kazakov.
According to her, from 460 thousand Ukrainians who have been granted temporary asylum in 2016, nearly two-thirds have made a choice in favor of Russian citizenship. 77 thousand people are undecided.
Kazakova noted that after the 2014 Ukraine has become a leading country on the arrival of citizens in Russia. Until that time, with the aim of obtaining citizenship in Russia often came to the people of Kazakhstan. “Also coming more and more citizens of Moldova, Armenia, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan”, — said the representative of the Ministry of interior.
