Greenhouse Tavrichesky garden in St. Petersburg restored for 1.7 billion rubles

In Saint-Petersburg in the framework of the “Week of urban change” introduced the concept of restoration of abandoned greenhouses of the Tauride garden, the project investments will amount to 1.7 billion rubles. On Wednesday, April 17, reports TASS.

“I looked at the projects, [presented at the forum], they are very interesting, very creative, this is a fresh look at the development of urban space,” — said the acting head of the region Alexander Beglov.

The concept assumes that after the reconstruction of the greenhouse will be a modern public space. Its main part is a Large pleasure greenhouse, which will house a winter garden, concert hall, Playground, shops with food and a flower shop. In the educational greenhouses will appear in public garden, kids club, workshops, lectures and theme shops. Also, the project involves greenhouse-astromarkt the farmer’s market.

Greenhouses are part of the Tauride garden. Tauride Palace was built on the personal order of Empress Catherine II and presented to Prince Grigory Potemkin-Tauride.
