The head of the Kremlin administration on cross-border cooperation appointed Oleksiy Filatov, who replaced on this post by Oleg Govorun. The corresponding decree on April 17 signed by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, the document is published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
The office of the President on cross-border cooperation was established in October 2018. It was converted from a Department for cooperation with States — participants of CIS, partially recognized Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
In the same month political scientist, Director of the Center for political conjuncture Alexei Chesnakov told RIA Novosti that the new administration created the Department of cooperation with Ukraine. According to him, the management is supervised by the Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov, who initiated the reorganization of this structure.
“It is unlikely that this cooperation is very pleasing to the Kiev regime, but it will continue in the same spirit and in the same style,” — said Chesnakov, stressing that the Ukrainian direction is run by Surkov.
Oleksiy Filatov to the increase was the Deputy chief of this management. In this position, the officer wrote in April, RBC, oversaw the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people’s Republic. At the same time, the publication reported that the talker will soon leave “the post of curator of Ukraine in the Kremlin.”
