The Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin has accused the Russian authorities of “Stalinization” of the country’s population. About this he wrote in his Facebook.
Commenting on the results of sociological surveys concerning the attitude of Russians to Joseph Stalin, Klimkin wrote that a good attitude to the Stalinist period in the history of artificially raised by the authorities starting in 2014.
The Minister believes that the Russian authorities brought up the cult of Stalin to justify their “own worship “strong hand””. “Brainwashed, dehumanized society themselves are dangerous, able by the order of the regime to do great evil,” — concluded the Minister.
Earlier it was reported that the total level of approval or indifference to Stalin among Russians has reached 77 percent. In addition, 51 percent of respondents belong to the head of the Soviet state with admiration, respect or sympathy.
In this 12 per cent increase in the proportion of those who stated that respect for a political figure. Also, 70 percent of Russians believe that Stalin played a “rather positive” or “completely positive” role in the life of the country. From 2015, a noticeable decline in the number of neutral or negative attitude of Russian citizens to the Soviet leader.
In January Klimkin said that upset a large number of Soviet films in the new year live. According to him, the broadcast of Ukrainian channels still a lot of Soviet films, but they show less than last year.
