The Libyan national army (LNA), headed by field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, fought off an attack on an air base in the South of the country. About it reports Reuters.
According to the Agency, Tamanhint air base near the city of Sabha was attacked by unknown armed men. It happened after Haftar has deployed most of its forces to the North in an attempt to capture the capital Tripoli. The attack was repulsed, however, one of the LDF soldiers were killed. Whether the attackers are linked with the internationally recognized government, is unknown.
It is noted that the Haftarot Tamanhint is used mainly for the delivery of equipment and supplies. Then from there they already land sent to the North of the country.
Earlier, the world health organization (who) reported that two weeks of clashes near the Libyan capital of Tripoli was killed about 205 people. Among the 18 victims were civilians, and another 913 injured.

Currently, Libya is in a situation of dual power: on the East in the city of Tobruk, seat of the Parliament in the West in Tripoli — the national consensus government.
