The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov in interview to TV channel “Star” told how the results of the presidential elections in Ukraine may influence the situation in the Donbass.
“The main thing is to negotiability, and to have the respect of the new or the old regime to respect international law, to international obligations of Ukraine”, — said the Minister.
Lavrov said that these obligations included the resolution of the UN security Council, which approved the Minsk agreement, and “core” arrangements — a direct dialogue between Kiev on one side and Donetsk and Lugansk on the other.
The second round of presidential elections in Ukraine will be held on April 21. He came showman Vladimir Zelensky, who scored in the first round more than 30 percent of the vote, and incumbent President Petro Poroshenko, who received two times less. 19 April, the candidates held a debate at the stadium “Olympic” in Kiev.
