President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, who admitted defeat in the second round of the elections, called on the international community to support the course of Kiev’s integration with the European Union and NATO membership. About it the acting head of state wrote in Twitter account.
According to him, if the new head of state will change the course of the country, he will get in the face of the team Poroshenko, “a powerful opposition, which only can be”. In another case the fraction of the incumbent President will not go into opposition to the state.
Earlier Zelensky said that when considering the question of granting Poroshenko’s government office to appeal to the public. “If they say they want to see him on a particular post — maybe I don’t know,” he said.
The second round of presidential elections in Ukraine was held on 21 April. According to the survey, in the second round of the presidential elections Zelensky gaining about 73 percent of the vote, Poroshenko — about 25 percent of the vote. The latter conceded defeat, but said he will not leave the political activities.
