The current President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko voted in the presidential election. He expressed the importance of citizens to be guided by the meaning, otherwise it may be painful, reports TASS.
Poroshenko came to the polling station in the Central house of officers in Kiev. The ballot in the ballot box he dropped with his grandson. The President said he was proud of the level of organization of elections in the current electoral campaign.
“It is important that during the voting citizens were guided by sense, because it’s not funny. First, can be funny and fun, but then so it doesn’t hurt” — he said to journalists. Poroshenko also admitted that “relies on the wisdom of the Ukrainian people.”
Your informed vote in the elections gave his opponent Vladimir Zelensky. At the polling station he was read to journalists the lines of music from the American rap artist Eminem. During the vote he was attacked by the activist of the movement Femen calls to “stop raping the country”.
The second round of presidential elections in Ukraine, held on April 21. Zelensky received the first round of more than 30 percent of the vote, Poroshenko is almost two times less. Polling stations closed at 20:00.
