At the U.S. Embassy in Kiev urged Ukrainians to actively participate in the second round of the presidential election. A statement posted on the Embassy page in Facebook.
“I hope that today all Ukrainians having the right to vote and participate in democracy and vote”, — stated in the message of the Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch.
The Ambassador noted that the representation of Washington on Ukraine will be peaceful and democratic elections whose results would reflect the will of the people.
The second round of the presidential elections is April 21. The ballot included two candidates — Vladimir Zelensky and the current President Petro Poroshenko. In the first round, which took place on March 31, Zelensky received more than 30 percent of the vote, Poroshenko — two times less.
