Pop singer Sergey Lazarev, who will represent Russia at “Eurovision”, said the criteria for the evaluation of the musical contest misty. He said this in an interview with Hello posted on Monday, may 6th.
“Unfortunately, the Eurovision song contest is not judged as in figure skating. I say “unfortunately” because otherwise the judging criteria would be clearer, more transparent”, — said the actor.
He remembered his performance at the festival in 2016 and said that low evaluation of the jury “has caused, to put it mildly, a great deal of consternation”. “Of course, choosing a more complicated song, I was hoping that the members of the jury who may “not hear” me last time, now “hear”,” added singer.
May 2 Lazarev in the air show “Evening Urgant” said that the contestants of “Eurovision” now has to donate blood before the start of the competition. “This year the main sponsor office, which determines how much of different nationalities”, — said the artist. Later, the official broadcaster of Eurovision in Russia — VGTRK media holding, has denied this information and called it a joke.
“Eurovision” will be held from 14 to 18 may in tel Aviv. Lazarev will perform with the song Scream, written by Philip Kirkorov in collaboration with the Greek composer Dimitris Kontopoulos and American singer Sharon Vaughn. In 2016, Lazarev took the competition in third place.
