The current President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko did not come to the Prosecutor General, where he was summoned for questioning. This is reported by “Ukrainian news”.
“No, [the President] did not appear”, — told the head of the Department of special investigations of Department Sergey Gorbatyuk and stressed that the President will again be summoned for questioning.
The reason for the absence of the head of state explained.
That Poroshenko was summoned for questioning to the Prosecutor General, it became known on may 6. A source in the Department said that the President will interrogate on the case of the death of people during protests on the Maidan in 2014.
It is also intended to oblige to sign the interrogation Protocol from 2016. The contents of that conversation Poroshenko with the investigators was not disclosed, reported only that it lasted six hours.
During the mass protests in Ukraine in late 2013 — early 2014, dubbed Euromaidan, more than 100 people were killed during clashes with security forces on Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence square) in Kiev. Most of them were victims of unknown snipers. Supporters of Euromayday and the current Ukrainian government snipers associated with former President Viktor Yanukovych, however, after almost five years of investigation, his guilt is proven in court.
