The Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko stated about information attacks on him by the team of President-elect Vladimir Zelensky. About it reports “UKRINFORM”.

According to Lutsenko, this occurs because of the desire of the new head of the state to protect his adviser Alexander Danilyuk, against which the office has opened a criminal case due to the dishonest tax declarations to fill out.

The Prosecutor said that he sent the materials in respect of danyluk to the anti-corruption bodies, then the adviser on behalf of the team Zelensky began to declare the need for immediate resignation of attorney General. According to Lutsenko, it happened because of resentment danyluk on his integrity.

He stressed that he did not conduct any negotiations or consultations with representatives of the new President, but is ready to cooperate with him and to communicate “on those topics that interest him”. In addition, Lutsenko said that to evaluate the performance of the public Prosecutor should not the President and the Parliament.

Earlier danyluk has criticized the activities of Lutsenko on a post of the public Prosecutor. Advisor called him “man of the past” which “already made a final decision.” He proposed to replace Lutsenko, one of the anti-corruption activists.

Lutsenko was appointed to his post by President Petro Poroshenko may 12, 2016. The term of office for this position is in Ukraine for six years. Lutsenko has no legal education, he graduated from the Lviv Polytechnic Institute majoring in “electronic engineering technology”. He had previously said he was willing to continue to work with the attorney General even in case of defeat Poroshenko in the presidential election.
