The acting head of the Altai Republic Oleg Khorokhordin reported that emergency workers found the bodies of three Russians who died in the South-Chuyskiy ridge after an avalanche. About this Khorokhordin wrote in his Instagram account.
“This is a tragedy, which, unfortunately, mountains are not immune even experienced climbers. Forces of the Ministry of emergency situations is taking all measures to search of tourists”, — said Khorokhordin, noting that the scene working dog service and two helicopters.
Information about the found bodies it also confirmed the Main Department of EMERCOM of Russia in the Altai Republic. “Search-and-rescue team found three bodies (two male, one female). Search actions proceed”, — stated in the message.
According to the chief of the Main Department of EMERCOM of Russia in the Altai Republic Colonel Burlakov, the search for bodies can be delayed indefinitely, since “the avalanche has a fairly significant volumes”.
As told TASS in Novosibirsk branch of the Federation of sports tourism of Russia, participants of the tourist group were professional climbers and knew that heading into a dangerous area.

Earlier it was reported that on may 6, seven climbers from Novosibirsk was killed while climbing on the South-Chuyskiy ridge for avalanche.
