Russian President Vladimir Putin responded to the decision to cancel the air part of the military parade in Moscow because of the weather and noticed that it was not necessary to risk the lives of pilots and spectators. On Thursday, may 9, reports TASS.
The head of state noted that “the great parade”, as it should be in the Russian army in recent years. The President expressed regret that the weather did not allow to fly the aircraft from the required 400 metres of good visibility pilots was only 150.
“In this case, the risk there is no need and safety of pilots, and those people who are on the ground, first of all,” — said Vladimir Putin.
Earlier it was reported that the cancellation of the aerial part of the Victory parade in Moscow was due to low stratus clouds, aircraft did not have enough hour until improvement of weather conditions. In the aerial part of the parade was to take part 74 of helicopter and airplane.
“In connection with difficult weather conditions along the route of passage of aircraft in the Moscow region the aviation part of the parade is canceled,” — said the defense Ministry.
The parade, dedicated to the 74th anniversary of the Victory in the great Patriotic war, was held in Moscow on the morning of 9 may. On the cobblestones of red square were 35 parade of soldiers, representing all types and kinds of troops of the Armed forces, Resguardo, other law enforcement agencies, a total of about 13 thousand people.
