Turkey has denied the information of the German newspaper Bild about the refusal to buy Russian anti-aircraft missile complexes (AAMS) s-400. The corresponding statement was made head of the communications administration of the Turkish President Fahrettin Altun in his Twitter.
“Your sources are wrong. Information take of me: the process for the purchase of s-400 is completed,” wrote Altun.
Earlier, the German tabloid, citing diplomatic sources in Ankara reported that, in connection with the situation with the Turkish Lira Turkey may reconsider the deal with Russia to purchase s-400.
A contract to supply Ankara with the four battalions of s-400 was achieved in September 2017. The contract is worth $ 2.5 billion, but half of this amount will cover the Russian loan. In April this year, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Russia could provide Turkey With 400 before July 2019.
