The former Governor of the Kemerovo region Aman Tuleyev has told about turning away from his people and “around the void” after leaving from a post of the head region. An interview with the nation published on the website of the Kuzbass regional Institute of vocational education.

The politician explained that while people in power needed, and others treat it with reverence. “And once left a post — around the void. Then there are those people in whom you’ve invested so much effort, mind, experience, practically raised them, they are the first and turned away,” he said.

Tuleyev said that at first he was hurt for the situation, but now he understands that people act this way because “all are driven by fear for their career position.” In addition, according to him, there are decent people who understand and support him in difficult times.

He explained that he had to leave his post, moving two complex operations, after which he needed rehabilitation. “And tragedy in “Winter cherry” has crippled health. And the Governor is not a Desk worker”, — he stressed. According to him, in this post need to be constantly in motion.

Aman Tuleyev headed the Kemerovo oblast from 1997 to 2018. He resigned after a fire in a shopping centre, “Winter cherry”, which killed 60 people, including 37 children.
