Russian figure skater Evgenia Medvedeva spoke about how he feels in Canada, where she trains under the guidance of a local expert Brian Orser. Her words quoted Vavel.
19-year-old athlete admitted that, despite the fact that she knows the difference between Russia and Canada, abroad, it tends to stay Russian. “For me here and work, and home. But it’s not the house in the full sense of the word. Sometimes I miss my country, in the Russian language”, — said Medvedev.
In 2019 skater triumphed in the Russian Cup final and performed at the world championship in Japan. At the tournament in Tokyo she won a bronze medal in figure skating. The gold was won by her compatriot Alina Sagitova.
Since the summer of 2018 Medvedev trains in Toronto. Previously, she worked in the group’s Russian coach Eteri Tutberidze. At the Games in Pyeongchang athlete lost gold medal of Sagitova, which still trains under the guidance of domestic experts.
