Two residents of the Orenburg region convicted in the smuggling of drugs after they ordered a drug for weight loss from Kazakhstan, reported on the website of the Ural transport Prosecutor’s office.
Established that the accused ordered and paid for over the Internet product containing in its composition potent substance sibutramine, a total mass of not less than 33 grams. Specifies that the client “obviously” knew about the prohibition of trafficking of such substances in the country.
It is also known that the drug was withdrawn upon receipt at the customs, and receiving a parcel Russian woman was detained.
Both girls were found guilty under part 1 of article 226.1 of the criminal code (“Smuggling of potent, poisonous, toxic, explosive, radioactive substances”). One of them received a year and six months of imprisonment conditionally with a trial period two years, the second — year and six months penal colony with restriction of freedom for six months.
In April, a resident of Yekaterinburg with a diagnosis of “schizotypal personality disorder” opened a criminal case on smuggling of drugs under part 3 of the article 229.1 of the criminal code (“Smuggling of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their precursors or analogs”) after she ordered a pack of energizers from Poland. When the woman went to pick them up, she was stopped by the customs officers. Examination was conducted of the drug. Russian woman is under house arrest.
