UK will replace Ambassador to Russia

Britain will replace its Ambassador to Russia. The new Ambassador of the Kingdom will be Deborah Bronner what with reference to the foreign Ministry reports “Interfax”.

Brennert, who is in the British foreign Ministry Director for economic and global issues, will take office in 2020, replacing the current Ambassador in Moscow, Lori Bristow.

Earlier, the diplomat had worked in Moscow from 2002 to 2005 Brennert was counselor for economic and commercial Affairs at the Embassy. From 2011 to 2014 she headed the British diplomatic mission in Zimbabwe.

On 29 April it became known that Russia is going to change Ambassador in the UK. Alexander Yakovenko, who held the post for eight years, will relinquish his post to a successor, whose name has not yet been named.

In March, the Russian Ambassador and other diplomats were accused of espionage. Representatives of the Embassy denied the allegations, calling them slander.
