The representative of the headquarters of the elected President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky Dmitry Razumkov said that the team won the election insists on holding the inauguration ceremony on may 19 in order to minimize discomfort to the residents of Kiev. About this comrade Zelensky said in the program “Svoboda words” on ICTV channel.
As noted by Razumkov, because of the visit of foreign guests and subsequent restrictions of movement in Kiev on inauguration day is expected to “full transport collapse in the Central part of the city.” That is why the inauguration needs to be assigned on the day (may 19 — Sunday, approx. “Of the tape.ru”).
The representative Zelensky added that if the Verkhovna Rada “were able to get together and appoint another day, it would, of course, more comfortable and more correct to hold the inauguration before.”
According to the law, the Verkhovna Rada should appoint date of carrying out of inauguration of the President within 30 days after the official announcement of the election results. In this case, the deadline for the inauguration — may 30.
At the moment, the Parliament registered three resolutions on the date of the inauguration Zelensky — 19, 20 and 26 may. Zelensky himself insists that the ceremony be held on 19 may. He accuses the current government of delaying the process of the inauguration in order to allow early parliamentary elections.
If the Parliament will not be able vote to determine the date of the inauguration, it is solely appointed by the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada. The incumbent Andriy Parubiy is against early elections to the Parliament. If the inauguration will take place after may 27, Vladimir Zelensky will not be able to dissolve Parliament until the expiration of his term.
