Experts of the center for forensic psychiatry named after the Serbian found a deranged 20-year-old student, Military space Academy named Mozhayskiy Vadim Osipov, accused of preparing a terrorist act and the seizure of the barracks, and recommended to send him to compulsory treatment. This “Mediazone” said the defendant’s lawyer Vitaly Cherkasov.
According to him, experts have identified a young person with chronic mental disorder for which he was not aware of the actual nature and danger of his actions and did not direct them. Based on this, doctors believe that Osipov is a danger to himself and society, therefore in need of compulsory measures of a medical nature.
It is worth noting that at the beginning of the 2018 year of young people have already been treated in a mental hospital because he was in a “painful state of mind”.

Interrogated the same day, at the court hearing classmates Osipova did not support the prosecution case that the defendant planned to commit a terrorist attack and capture the barracks of the Academy, said the defender.
According to witnesses, they saw that the cadet take any action to prepare for the crime.
In January 2018 at the trial, major of the FSB Sergei Krut said that the basic plan Osipova was to set fire to the barracks and barricaded the entrances and exits from it. The young man was supposed to make Napalm, “which he intended to pour from the Windows.” But there was a second plan, which was to arrange a terrorist attack on one of the squares of St. Petersburg, where the ice cream cart that he had to lay an explosive device. Another bomb he had planned to hide under clothing and detonate it when a large crowd of people.
According to investigators, Osipov wanted to commit a terrorist act to fame as a mass murderer and destabilize the government.
The defendant does not admit his guilt. About this he wrote in a letter to defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, in which he asked to investigate his case.
