The cost of the contract to purchase fifth generation fighters, the su-57 for the needs of the aerospace defence forces of Russia can reach 170 billion rubles. About it reports “Kommersant”.
According to the newspaper, the acquisition of 76 aircraft will be the largest in aviation history and will guarantee full utilization of capacity of the Komsomolsk-on-Amur aviation plant.
Reducing the cost of aircraft is not only a decision to change the internal layout of the su-57 and unification of technical solutions, but also production, explained the source.
According to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin may sign a contract at the MAKS-2019, which will be held from 27 August to 1 September.

He stressed that the purchase of 76 fighters instead of the planned 16 was made possible by reducing the price of manufacturers of airplanes by 20 percent.
