Gazprom filed a lawsuit in the international commercial arbitration court at Trading-industrial chamber (TPP) Russia to its subsidiary company “Moldovagaz”, Rambler News Service reports, citing a message of concern.
The organization requires from the Moldovan company 329,5 million dollars. In the same amount he estimates the debt for gas delivered in 2016.
Date of consideration of the case is not yet assigned.
It is clarified that earlier, the same court has already satisfied the requirements of “Gazprom” to recover from “Moldovagaz” debt for 2015 in the amount of 475,8 million dollars.
Moldovagaz was founded in 1999 by Gazprom, the government of Moldova and the administration of the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldovan Republic.
On 16 may the head of the Ukrainian “Naftogaz” Andrew KOBOLEV said that his company, which is suing Gazprom in the Stockholm arbitration court, considering the possibility of continuing cooperation on gas transit through Ukraine’s territory after 2019, when it will expire the current contract.
