President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko urged institutions of higher education to become more practice-oriented training. It is reported BelTA.
“We have all of the weaknesses in the universities enough. Should be closer to life to prepare students. And most importantly, that they after graduation came to the right place — for which they received this education. And not went nowhere and did not ask to work somewhere secretaries, assistants and advisors after a student’s bench”, — said the Belarusian leader.
In addition, the head of state noted that during his visit to Belarusian state economic University (BSEU) students read foreign literature. “We students need to prepare for our economy, and not, as we have someone there recommends”, — he stressed.
According to him, students often have to retrain the company after graduation.
Lukashenko also spoke about the importance of working with the student community. “Don’t forget, students are always with us is not something that is already a powder keg — we were just lucky that we have students in universities are not the same as somewhere. Decent, solid people. But, nevertheless, this freedom-loving, self-willed people. So they have to work”, — said the Belarusian leader.
At the beginning of 2019 Lukashenko has demanded not to focus on the Russian experience in the sphere of training of bachelors and masters. “See that in any case we borrowed this one experience that took over Russia, and now do not know what to do with it”, — he said.
According to the Belarusian President, the undergraduate must be a full-fledged higher education and the magistracy should go only to those who want to dedicate their life to science and teaching. The President also drew attention to the quality of school programs and the fact that there are disciplines, previously characteristic only for universities.
