The British drink more often than representatives of other countries. This is stated in the report of the British research organization Global Drug Survey.
According to her, on average, residents of more than 30 countries in which the survey was conducted, were drunk during the last year 33 times. The first positions in English-speaking countries: the UK (51 times), USA (50) Canada (48) Australia (47). This means that they get drunk about once a week.
The lowest rates were among residents of South American countries. So, Chileans drank 16 times a year, and Colombians — 22, like the Germans.
It also appeared that on average, respondents regretted that drunk in 20% of cases. Most often regretted women aged 25 years (24 per cent), least of all men 25 years or younger (17 percent). Intend to drink less in the future, almost 40 percent of respondents.
It is noted that alcohol is the main bad habit. In second place is Smoking, followed by marijuana use. The survey was conducted among 120 thousand people in more than 30 countries. Russia among the countries under study was not.
