A third of Russians (33 percent) called the employment and work-related stress the primary cause of health problems, 28 percent said lack of money for medicines and prevention of diseases. The survey results are published on the website VTSIOM.
According to polls, 25 percent of Russians believe that the causes of their health problems at the age and lack of rest. Significantly decreased the proportion of those who call the cause of diseases of the environment — from 32 percent in 2017 and to 18 percent in 2019.
About good health said only 32 percent of respondents, 53% assess their condition as satisfactory. Negatively assess their health, 15% of Russians, among women this percentage is higher (21 percent) than among men — 8 percent. Over the past five years, this figure has not changed.
One third of the inhabitants of the country self-medicates. Increased the share of those that appeals to fee-paying hospitals, 11 percent in 2017 and to 15 per cent in 2019. Four percent said that are not treated at all, and one percent of respondents admitted that they resort to healers.
In late April, it was reported that the majority of Russians (86 percent) consider themselves to be partially or fully happy. This figure was the highest for all years of monitoring the level of happiness of the population.
