The President-elect of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky Twitter reacted to the adoption by the Verkhovna Rada of the decision on the date of his inauguration.
“The Parliament finally decided on the date of the inauguration. MPs on reflection it took almost a month. I hope that in future Parliament will take decisions without delay,” said Zelensky.
The inauguration of Vladimir Zelensky will be held may 20, beginning at 10:00 local time. Previously for this date voted by 315 MPs. Just was offered seven decisions proposing to designate the ceremony of swearing in the period from 19 to 28 may. The first two documents, both with the date may 19 — parliamentarians have rejected.
Zelensky himself insisted that the inauguration should take place on 19 may. He also accused the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andrei Parubiy, who promised to make a decision more may 14, in lies and called him a small time crook.
The second round of presidential elections in Ukraine was held on 21 April. Vladimir Zelensky has gained about 73 percent of the votes, while his rival, incumbent President Petro Poroshenko — a little more than 24 percent.
