The Secretary of national security and defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov is going to resign. About it reports “theБабель” with reference to sources in the presidential administration of the country.
The publication writes that Turchinov announced his retirement from his post on Friday, may 17.
The press service of the NSDC Secretary has refused to comment on this information.
Previously, on 17 may it was reported that the resignation is going to representative of the President of Ukraine in the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Lutsenko. The wife of the public Prosecutor of the country Yury Lutsenko said he would leave his post on the eve of the inauguration of President-elect Vladimir Zelenskiy, which is scheduled for may 20.
Oleksandr Turchynov is the Secretary of the national security Council from December 16, 2014. After the coup and the overthrow of Viktor Yanukovych as President in February of the same year he held the position of Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, and then four months became acting head of state.
