Two Polish scientists were killed in Svalbard located in the Arctic ocean. This was reported on the website of the Governor of the archipelago.
It is noted that the researchers worked on a research station in Hornsund, which left on may 17. They planned to return two days later. Not waiting for their return, the search was sent a helicopter with a COP and a doctor. Several hours later, the scientists found at the foot of mount Camcrane, they fell from a height of several hundred meters, the report said.
In November 2017, three scientists were killed in the crash of Mi-8 helicopter from Svalbard. It later emerged that the researchers were not supposed to fly this flight, and appeared to be random fellow travelers. In their possession was the boat, but they are unable to use it due to bad weather, and flying in the same direction the helicopter decided “to throw”.
