A tiger mauled a man



In the province of North Sumatra, Indonesia, a local resident was killed by a tiger. It is reported by the Asia Times.

May 16, locals together with the police found the body of 61-year-old employee of a plantation Abusali Hasbani (Abusali Hasbuan). The family of the deceased raised the alarm after he did not return home from work.

He was missing a right arm, and the head was found 50m from the body.

Presumably, the man was attacked by a tiger, which recently raided the nearby village. Its inhabitants believe that he destroyed all the cattle.

Husbana the remains were taken to the city hospital Sibuyan for examination. Now the authorities are trying to find the tiger, to prevent new victims.

In late April, it was reported that in the U.S. state of Kansas at the Topeka zoo a rare Sumatran tiger attacked the worker and severely injured her. Despite this incident, the question of putting the animal down is not considered.
