In Iowa, USA, the teenager found the remains of prehistoric creatures. About it reports the Internet-the edition HuffPost.
The young man was looking for arrowheads in the local farm and found the 76-centimetre bone. Landowners contacted representatives of the University of Iowa and sent them pictures of the finds. Scientists have established that the remains belong to a mastodon — an animal that became extinct about ten thousand years ago.
A couple of farmers donated the find to the store of paleontology of the University of Iowa. They chose not to name names, to avoid the invasion of outsiders into their realm. About 30 years ago, the pair also found on his farm the bones of a woolly mammoth.
Mastodon — the family of mammals belonging to the order Robotnik. They differed from mammoths and living elephants, certain characteristics that are mostly associated with the special structure of the teeth.
In late April, it was reported that a student found a shark tooth from the Megalodon. The girl’s father admitted that for the past 25 years in search of survivors of shark teeth, but didn’t find anything like that.
