Flights of American reconnaissance drone RQ-4 Global Hawk near the Russian border caused by the necessity of the study of radar and modern Russian air defence (PVO), reported RIA Novosti chief editor of the magazine “Arsenal Fatherland” Victor murakhovski.
“Almost every day near the Kaliningrad region and in the district of Crimea fly reconnaissance drones Global Hawk. Americans dream that we include the complexes [s-400] in combat mode. But could not wait and therefore off the radar parameters [radar systems] standby mode than while satisfied,” — said the expert.
In may, “Interfax” reported that the far American drone RQ-4 Global Hawk, tail number and call sign 10-2043 FORTE10 taking off from Sigonella airbase on the Italian island of Sicily, within five hours cruised on the line from the Western tip of the Crimea up to Tuapse.
In January it became known that the first flight of Russian heavy shock reconnaissance UAV “Altair” was held with the German RED A03 engine.
