The Russian labour market is becoming less attracted migrants, reports “Kommersant” with reference to the report “Integration barometer” of Eurasian Bank of reconstruction and development (EDB).
In 2015 to work temporarily in Russia were prepared 53 percent of residents of Tajikistan, by 2017, their share dropped to 37 percent. In Moldova, this indicator dropped from 27 percent to 17 percent, in Kyrgyzstan — from 38 to 30 percent.
In parallel, increased the number of Russians who do not wish to see in the country of foreign workers. According to the latest data, such 53 percent of the population (in 2012 it was 46%).
However, only three percent of Russians are ready to relocate to work in other CIS countries. According Ranepa, migration to Russia by the end of 2018 was the lowest since 2005 (124,9 thousand people).
The economy Ministry had previously decided to simplify entry to Russia for migrants, changing the criteria that define highly qualified specialists with a number of preferences related to the registration of the residence permit.
