Russian businessman sat down for trying to bribe the employee of FSB

Court in Saratov ruled the verdict against 49-year-old businessman on charges of corruption. On Tuesday, may 21, according to the regional Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR).

According to investigators, 17 January 2018, the businessman through the intermediary has transferred to the employee of management of Federal security service (FSB) of Russia one million rubles — the first part of a bribe of five million rubles.

The entrepreneur hoped for the money the employee of FSB “have an impact” on executives of a large commercial organization and received consent for the transfer of underground pipeline. This pipeline passes under land which is in possession of the businessman and that he was going to build up.

However, the employee of FSB has told about the situation to his superiors, after which the businessman was detained. The court qualified the actions of the businessman of part 3 of article 30 and part 5 of article 291 (“Attempt at bribery to the official through an intermediary for committing illegal actions in especially large size a group of persons on preliminary arrangement”) of the criminal code. The decision of the court the convict was sentenced to eight years in a strict regime colony.
