The standard of living of employees of the interior Ministry of Russia fell because of inflation and lack of indexation of wages between 2012 and 2017. On Tuesday, may 21, according to RIA Novosti with reference to words of the Deputy head of the Ministry of Arkady Gostev.
According to him, the salaries of employees were increased from 1 January 2018 four percent. The following indexing 4.3 percent scheduled for October 1, 2019.
Gostev also noted that the interior Ministry is facing chronic underfunding under a special state program on combating crime, in force since 2013. It accounts for about 70 percent of all funds allocated to the Department from the Federal budget.
16 may it was reported that the Ministry of Finance published amendments to the Federal budget for 2019, which provide for the increase in revenues and expenditures. In particular, at 12.5 billion needs to increase spending on security and law enforcement, of which 6 billion will go on financing of the Ministry of interior.
