The Deputy explained the return of sobering-up stations

Return sobering-up stations will reduce the number of crimes committed in a state of alcoholic intoxication, said one of the authors of the act sobering-up stations, the state Duma Deputy Alexander Khinshtein. It quotes the newspaper “Moskovsky Komsomolets” on Tuesday, may 21.

The MP said that before the sobering-up stations saved people, and today due to the lack of such institutions “are drunk lying on the streets, die, or become objects of crimes, commit crimes themselves”.

In his opinion, the service should be paid, but the price is adequate. Such, it considers the sum of one thousand rubles. At the same time, he said, according to the law to force the region to establish such institutions, no one can.

The Deputy questioned the interest of private companies to the creation of sobering-up stations, but this possibility needs to be legalized.

“The scheme in which the police catch drunken people as stray dogs and transported them to the sobering-up stations to earn, even my fertile imagination can not imagine”, he concluded.

May 14, in the lower house of Parliament introduced a bill to restore the system of sobering-up stations. The Russian system of sobering-up stations have been liquidated in 2011, during the reform of the interior Ministry.
