Acting Minister of health of Ukraine Ulyana Suprun has called to exclude Russia from the UN Security Council. Such a statement she made during a speech at the 72nd session of the world health Assembly in Geneva, reported on the website of the Ministry of health of the country.
“The UN should not tolerate the presence of the Russian Federation in the Security Council until they get back to the system of international law, starting with the withdrawal of their troops and command structures from the occupied territories of Ukraine and release of all prisoners of war and political prisoners,” said Suprun.
The Minister added that international organizations should give up Russian money to avoid becoming “hostages of the Kremlin.” Suprun also urged to expand sanctions against Russia, not to encourage aggressive behavior in other countries.
Ulyana Suprun headed by the Ministry of health of Ukraine in July 2016. In February 2019, the court in Kiev forbade her to exercise the powers of the Minister, so as to be in the status of acting according to the law can be no more than one month.
